The Human Rights Foundation (HRF) is excited to announce the 2023 Oslo Freedom Forum in New York (OFF in NY), a half-day event at The Town Hall featuring theater talks and performances by the world’s top freedom fighters and dissidents, followed by a special Speaker Gala.

Join us to hear firsthand stories from intrepid human rights defenders, and meet a community of activists, philanthropists, technologists, investors, artists, journalists, and policymakers aiming to make the world a more free, open, and peaceful place.

The Town Hall is a beautiful theater in Midtown Manhattan with a long and storied history in molding New York’s cultural and civic-minded fabric. In the 1940s, the space was used for meetings to improve race relations and women’s rights in America. Renowned performers have graced The Town Hall stage, including Billie Holiday, Duke Ellington, and Whitney Houston, and HRF first convened OFF here in 2019.

Tickets for afternoon programming ($25 Theater Pass and $10 Student Pass) are available for purchase on Ticketmaster. The full list of speakers will be announced in the coming weeks.

The Speaker Gala will take place in the evening at the Rockefeller Center’s Rainbow Room, a New York City landmark and host to major cultural and art events since its opening in 1934. The Gala will be a unique opportunity to spend time with OFF speakers and HRF leadership while enjoying additional talks, performances, and fine dining.

Gala tickets ($1,500 single and $10,000 eight-person table) are available for purchase on Eventbrite. You may also sponsor students and activists to attend OFF in NY. Gala tickets include access to afternoon theater programming.
