We are excited to announce the formal relaunch of the Human Rights Foundation’s (HRF) Dissidents and Dictators podcast series. Co-hosted by Casey Michel, the head of the HRF’s Combating Kleptocracy Program, and Elisha Maldonado, the director of communications, and published every Thursday, each episode will discuss pressing human rights issues and the vital work being done by pro-democracy activists around the world to address them.
Blending humor and research, Casey and Elisha will cover various topics, from China’s crimes against Uyghurs to Russian colonialism to Rwanda’s reputation-management schemes to celebrities who perform for dictators to how authoritarian governments hide their wealth.
This week, Casey and Elisha introduce the new podcast series and HRF’s mission. Listen on SoundCloud, Spotify, YouTube, and Apple Podcasts. We can’t wait to elevate the work of HRF and our allies to new audiences worldwide. Thanks to the fantastic work of our producer, Omar Al-Fotihi, we’re aiming to do just that.
Please subscribe to the podcast on your favorite podcasting app and spread the word using the hashtag #DissidentsandDictators. We can’t wait to have you join us on this journey!
